She really goes out of her way to give unsympathetic characters unpleasant physical traits - fat, sweaty, bad breath, dandruff, dowdy clothing, bald patches. It’s super off putting how consistently she does this. No subtlety. Matthew a cheater, Murphy a drunk… they can’t just be selfish, unsupportive, or uncommunicative. She can’t help but make nasty characters really nasty.
