Unfortunately, I have zero positive thoughts about this story.

Insufferable main character without the plot purpose of being insufferable. Dear friends, take pity on me.

Of course my Libby rental for this came through after I read some criticisms about modern retellings of famous myths abandoning the myths themselves in favor of telling an implausible story. I think the attempted lens here is familiar, but 100 pages in, it’s giving misandrist instead. A lot of push to read this because I loved TSOA (💛) but this one still has much to prove.
