This is a proper courtroom drama. Starts off quite weak. By the time the courtroom antics get around, they’re just standard/ mid. I’m hopeful that book 2 will provide more oomph. I’ll rate this 2*

Lol. This book feels educational. Like we’re learning about the legal process through this case. Lol. I guess she’s writing for non lawyers as well. But it feels tell-y. I’ve read a few legal thrillers. Better to assume than to tell. So the flow makes sense.
