My main issue with both Scarlett and Tella in these books is that they are so one track minded.
Tella keeps on repeating to herself that nothing is real during Caraval, every single thing is an illusion or just part of the game but like... girl you know that's not true. Yes a lot of it is fake but SOME things are real! It feels like the answer is right in front of her but she can't get past this thought.
