Adam Carlsen has to be the first skyscraper to ever hold a PhD. He's so vertically endowed I fear Olive might suffer a slipped disc every time she cranes her neck to meet his eyes. She can barely hear him because his voice has to travel several atmospheric layers to reach her. Because, well, he's so tall. WE GET IT 😭✋ someone call a nurse bc I may be concussed from all the times it's been beaten over my head

I haven't even made it past the prologue and I'm already side eyeing the stiff banter, forced humor, and trivial details begging me to believe the fmc is quirky and charming...
but let me not jump to hasty conclusions
