Interesting to think about how much the sexual revolution impacted the decline of the family and church attendance.

Good stuff. It makes sense that urbanization and the Industrial Revolution caused fathers to leave their family for a job in the city and that created issues. Between that and the sexual revolution I could see how that could cause a decline in Christianity and the family. Less God = less family. Less family = less God.

Nothing surprising but so affirming. I like how she says that fertility is not only the consequence of religion. It is also a conduit to religion before saying that she says that the hand rocking the cradle is likely a person who regularly attends church, mosque, or synagogue. It will be interesting to see how she discusses the “God gap.” the time in which young adults stop attending church after high school.
