I feel like maybe I missed something, but like... What's the actual point of this book? What's that end goal? I don't even really feel suspense because I just don't understand what the fucking point is. It's enjoyable to read, but... i dunno.

I don't hate this book, but I'm 77% and I still feel like nothing has happened. I also don't really care about any of the backstory stuff.. Even if it's starting to kind of tie together but like it's just been kind of boring.. But I also don't want to hate this book. I wanted a mindless read and it's kind of delivering on that.. I swear to god if Mr. Smith ends up being Ryan, though, I'm going to be so disappointed.
