took me 200 days to pick the series back up. the first 2 books were too emotionally damaging for me and i needed a few days to recover from book 1 to book 2… i feel like im not quite ready for book 3, Joey’s story, but i’m okay enough to attempt to move on.

i’m not going to lie friends… i’m struggling so badly with this book. i’m so sad and anxious ‘cause i know the bad things that happen in between already from Shannon’s books. seeing it all now from these POVs is just making my little heart hurt way more than i thought.

i feel unhappy overall, which should always translate to “well written”, as this author has the greatest superpower to make one feel despair and hopelessness very greatly.

the series, as a whole, makes me feel so hopeless. all the tragedy and the terrible things that happen just break my heart over and over again. specially Joey, and i’m not even into the ugly that i know is coming.

I read this whole series back to back. Did some other tandem reads with them just to try and keep my mental health at some sort of okay level but by Releasing 10 I was barely surviving. So I am sending you hugs
yes, i definitely have to do tandem reads as well. it’s impossible for me to just go through the whole thing without major distraction. it’s seriously so sad and terribly well written… every time i open the book back up i get genuinely scared!
But when I started redeeming 6....
I literally took a 2 month break, because it broke my heart in bazillion pieces..
I love Joe & Aoifa... So MUCH!
