I am purposely reading this book extremely slowly when I pick it up. And because of that I'm finding myself enjoying it so much more than Wizard of Earthsea. It's making me almost want to go back and re-read that book because I'm enjoying this so much more because of it. Sometimes I need to remind myself that not every book is meant to be read in a hurry.

Well the first two are short. Under 200 pages. But I have a really hard time picturing listening to this series unless I was at home and completely undistracted. At that point I'd rather just read anyway. It's not face paced action. It's slow and thoughtful and deliberate. I went into Wizard thinking it was going to be a mix of Harry Potter and LotR from stuff I had read, and that was a BIG mistake. It took me a while to figure out it should be read differently and I almost didn't even continue the series. It's a hard series to recommend, but if it's your kinda book it's worth it.
