Again, I'm blown away that this was published in 1908. Same stuff different year I guess...pretty incredible to look back at this.

Scarlett, as of this point I in the book, isn't really a good person at all.

I was always super interested in these as a kid. Never ended up grabbing one. I decided to finally start one. This is my bedtime book. Read a little bit before passing out or if I'm waiting somewhere and have my phone with me. I am surprised to say that I like it so far! It's fun and interesting and easy to read, which is perfect for my nightly reading time.

It's weird that Gerald, the dad, calls Scarlett Puss as her childish pet name. Just saying.

Possible idiot move on my part. Was ready to start this. Was going to get going on audio before I switched to physical. Got it from library on audio and realized I have a vacation week coming up after the fact.... Now I hope I don't have to try and re check it out from Libby. 99% of my audio reading is at work.... Either way, it was a fun start and excited to knock this one off the list.

I am purposely reading this book extremely slowly when I pick it up. And because of that I'm finding myself enjoying it so much more than Wizard of Earthsea. It's making me almost want to go back and re-read that book because I'm enjoying this so much more because of it. Sometimes I need to remind myself that not every book is meant to be read in a hurry.

I didn't realize how much this was needed. I've been reading a lot of heavy stuff recently and I didn't know I needed something a little lighter until I started this up. Breath of fresh air right now.

I decided to pick up this book because it is the most recent Pulitzer Prize winner. Halfway through the first chapter I almost put it down. Not because it was bad, but because it was too sex driven. By the end of the first chapter I was engaged, and I'm excited to keep reading!

I decided it was time to read a World Fantasy Award winner since it was available at the library. It my normal type of book to read, but I enjoy ready the WFA books sometimes.

Side note: First Contact is on hold now until I finish this one up.

Saw a dude review this on YouTube. It sounded crazy. It happened to be at my library, so I checked it out. And it is WILD so far. Completely and wholly unique. Very fun so far.

Only one more story left to go in this collection and not only is it the longest one in here, it's the original story that hasn't been released anywhere else yet. So needless to say I'm excited. Especially since all the other ones have been great so far! Except Defending Elysium. That's the only one that was total Meh to me.

I'm going to have spoilers for The Reckoners series reading this, I know, but I'm committed to reading every short story (other than the ones I've already read) in the Tailored Realities collection no matter what.

I wasn't planning on reading this book, but then I saw it on some list somewhere. Became sold. Checked my library. Not only did we have it, it was available. Now here I am reading it. I hope it's good.......

This book is seriously impressive so far. I'm completely captured by the writing.

I'm getting ready to start Tailored Realities by Brandon Sanderson. I have a question. Do I put it down as one book? Or do I put each short story in individually. Yes, I should do whatever I want, but I want opinions, if you have them.

When stuff is good in this book, it's *really* good. If it didn't have moments where it dragged on at times it'd be bliss to read the whole thing.

Halfway through and I don't understand what everyone thinks is so special about this book 🤷

Goal number one for this year. Finish this book. It's happening this January. February at the latest.

This year I plan on staying more focused with my reading. I tend to get distracted with new books/series/authors very easily. And while I will definitely let myself get a *little* distracted, I plan on making big dents in all stuff I have that's current that I want to continue.

This book is like an adult version of The Bartimaeus Trilogy and I'm 100% here for it. What a good and fun start!

I am going to finish this this year. It is quite good, but like all Wildbow's work it is quite long. I need a better way to break his works up into "books" so I have better break points. Things are heating up though and it's been fun to get back into it.

Dude, I don't know what it is with these books but I really enjoy them. But also, I know that they're hard to recommend because I can tell they aren't for everyone. For me though? It's like a warm bowl of soup on a chilly winter day. Just total comfort story for me.

Started this up again. Going to try and go through it slowly. Not stress. Maybe slam through it if I get really going on it again.

One thing I will say, the 3 chapters I've read since starting back up again have made me question why I put it down to begin with.

It is loooooong though. So I did need a break.

This book came from the library a little before I got Wind and Truth. I really enjoyed the little bit that I read, so I now have it on hold again from the library. Happy to get back to it once I have it in my hands again.

Wind and Truth really jacked up my reading schedule 😅
