I'm getting ready to start Tailored Realities by Brandon Sanderson. I have a question. Do I put it down as one book? Or do I put each short story in individually. Yes, I should do whatever I want, but I want opinions, if you have them.

When stuff is good in this book, it's *really* good. If it didn't have moments where it dragged on at times it'd be bliss to read the whole thing.

Halfway through and I don't understand what everyone thinks is so special about this book 🤷

Goal number one for this year. Finish this book. It's happening this January. February at the latest.

This year I plan on staying more focused with my reading. I tend to get distracted with new books/series/authors very easily. And while I will definitely let myself get a *little* distracted, I plan on making big dents in all stuff I have that's current that I want to continue.

How have more of my Goodreads buddies not read this book!? It's really great so far and I'm surprised it isn't talked about a little more. Maybe the latter half sucks? Idk, but I'm having a good time with it so far!

This book is like an adult version of The Bartimaeus Trilogy and I'm 100% here for it. What a good and fun start!

I am going to finish this this year. It is quite good, but like all Wildbow's work it is quite long. I need a better way to break his works up into "books" so I have better break points. Things are heating up though and it's been fun to get back into it.

Dude, I don't know what it is with these books but I really enjoy them. But also, I know that they're hard to recommend because I can tell they aren't for everyone. For me though? It's like a warm bowl of soup on a chilly winter day. Just total comfort story for me.

Started this up again. Going to try and go through it slowly. Not stress. Maybe slam through it if I get really going on it again.

One thing I will say, the 3 chapters I've read since starting back up again have made me question why I put it down to begin with.

It is loooooong though. So I did need a break.

This book came from the library a little before I got Wind and Truth. I really enjoyed the little bit that I read, so I now have it on hold again from the library. Happy to get back to it once I have it in my hands again.

Wind and Truth really jacked up my reading schedule 😅

There's something wrong when your loyalty is always subject to the highest bidder. You have no integrity.

Sad that so many people need to hear that.

The last few chapters have been a LOT more interesting. Maybe we're FINALLY getting to the signature exciting Sanderson ending.

Finally got this back again from the library. Really throwing me off my reading game. Might just have to bite the bullet and buy it next time instead of going back and forth.

I grabbed 3 books from my library to try and pull me out of my reading slump. This was the first one I started and I'm excited every time I pick it up to read so far. Thank you Emily Rath.

Hopefully will get back to it. There is good stuff and also some stuff that is just not engaging. Reading slump attack and moved on for a hot minute.

About half way through. Was in the middle of a reading slump when I started this. I intend to go back, but I had to start something else to get more excited about reading again.

It takes a long time to read books with the kids sometimes. It's hard to find time when we are all together and ready to read. Definitely everyone is enjoying it when we do have time though.

Reading with the whole family and it has been a blast so far, even if it has been going a little slow :)

Time to start going on this a little more steadily. I'm moving through it too slow and it's time to pick up the pace.

This book continues to be fabulous so far.

This book is really easy and fun to read. It might not be mentally stimulating enough for some readers, but this is easy to see why so many people like it.

This freaking series is so good man. I can't freaking believe it's living up to the hype. Truly something special.

What are everyone's feelings on being able to add Visual Novels as books read?

I've read some visual novels that are double the size of some big books I've read. I personally feel that I should be able to add the likes of Utawarerumono and Clannad and A.I. The Somnium Files to the list of books read.

My 2024 plans this year for reading:

Read Les Miserables. This is something I've been wanting to do for a long time. Been intimidated by the size of the book and this is the year I'm going to tackle it. It's going to take most of the year as I plan on reading through on the serial reader app.

Other than that I plan on being more focused on series I have ongoing. I start too many and need to stay focused.

This is not as engaging as My Heart is a Chainsaw so far. That being said, I feel like we might be finally picking up some steam here.

That was an entertaining chapter. Really starting to like this Prince Jorg.
