huge fan of when the book touches on desi marriages. not so much of a fan about the fact that nobody in this book talks like a real person

I’m sorry I hate this book so much and being sick is not helping. I’m going to have to lie to my friends mom and say I loved it cuz she recommended it to me and now I just feel bad. Also idk if she recommended it to me cuz my friend told her I like murder mysteries (I don’t anymore) or because I’m brown

also KAUSAR. I know her tragic back story is that awww her son died awww 😢 WHEN YOU TALK AND WRITE ABOUT IT LIKE THAT I DONT GIVE A FUCK. ITS SO HARD TO BE SYMPATHETIC WITH YOU KAUSAR BUT IM TRYING. also im really bothered by how the book brought up that she had four kids early on but THEN there’s literally only three? and she said she had 12 grandkids BUT SHE HAS THREE. TF MAKE UP YOUR MIND KAUSAR

idk what page I’m on and idk if I’m just a hater this year but I hate this book SO FREAKING MUCH. can ANYBODY talk like a normal person instead of cringey ass lines.
