That was so cheesy how they introduced who the ghost was and how Jude’s past caught up with him. No lead up.

The writing is incredible. The narrator is spot on. But I’m so annoyed that they gave away the whole ghost. Like now that I know what’s going on it just isn’t as spooky

I keep pausing but this book is a literary masterpiece.

“He searched the ground floor and found only shadow and stillness, which should‟ve reassured him but didn‟t. It was the wrong kind of stillness, the shocked stillness that follows the bang of a cherry bomb. His eardrums throbbed from the pressure of all that quiet, a dreadful silence.”

I’m seven minutes in and I’m already spooked. I actually went to go make sure my front door was locked.
