Gods, she seemed so different now than when I last saw her. She had an almost childlike face. Huge, sad eyes. They looked even sadder now."

What a bittersweet end. But what about Aefe & Caduan. My heart still aches for them. This could have gone a different way. The war could have been prevented and they both could have lived. I understand the plot, the story, the message, but selfishly, i wanted them to have their happy ending as well. Just the mere possibility of that ending makes my chest ache, and my heart swell.
