There's, like, no focus here lol. All of these tangents are massive distractions from the overall plot.

So far, this book is "being poor is terrible. Being a woman is terrible. Let's just drink. And also this little girl is learning about her period."

So far, just icky period stuff. Not sure if the rest of the book will play out like this but I've been on a bad audiobook streak lol
