“ one of the hallmarks western liberalism is an assumption, in hindsight, of virtuous resistance, as the only polite expectation of people on the receiving end of colonialism” a while the terrible thing is happening. Any form of resistance must be crushed and is considered terrorism, (but after the terrible thing is done and time has passed, it becomes safe to generate resistance in hindsight.)
