Mr Crawley certainly needs to develop a spirit of docility/teachability. He is very mulish! But at the same time, there’s a deeply-rooted part of Mr Crawley that I thoroughly understand, because I have also struggled so much with it: an anger and indignation when things aren’t the way they SHOULD rightfully be, but are the way they ARE, however different that is.
