VAMPIRATESS is starting

A special edition book cover with artwork so beautiful it made me start a video edit despite barely remembering anything about it — aside from it basically being Beverly Hills, 90210 with bloodsuckers, which clearly means I need to do a reread.

How has it been several months since Jason and Sienna met, and neither he (nor the reader) knows anything about her other than that she’s rich, hot, a vampire, and likes flavoured water? 😭

My dude, learn to hold a conversation.

Beverly Hills, 90210 meets Goodnight Kiss by R.L. Stine is a fangtastic elevator pitch, but Bloodlust rarely capitalises on either side of that equation.

The first half of the book gets off to a strong start, while the second half suffers from pacing issues and a romance that’s as shallow as a kiddie pool. Still, with this being a two-parter, here’s hoping Initiation sinks its teeth into those shortcomings.
