Maneesha When people said it felt like a fever dream, I wondered what that meant. But the way the story has been weaving from one timeline to another even in the new age and old age. And also the writing, it’s poetry that you can read. It’s so well written, that you can actually visualize and empathize with the emotions and the characters so well.

One thing that breaks my heart is how both the characters are so submissive only when it comes to their fathers. They bend and break every rule, interest or liking to fit to their father’s vision. It seems so cruel and frustrating to live their life. But I’m not sure if that’s crushing their soul or if they would want to break out of that character if given chance and help.

The whole story about Lee’s mother and how she fitted into a suitcase and how Sen was fitted into a wooden box and Lee’s dreams of him being buried under mud. They all seem to coincide, which all feels pretty much watercolors blending different timelines and stories into one another.

I love it so much! This has probably been the most creatively written book I’ve read so far:)
