And also you should read "The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, aged 13 3/4". Or "Dagma Schultz and the Angel Edna".

Dang. I heard there was a seasonal rot after the 3rd book (which is kinda why I stopped there), but it’s that bad?

To be fair, I haven't read any in the series but this one! :SMaybe I've been unfair. You're right - jumping in at the far end of an established series is probably a terrible idea.
(We won this in a raffle, so...) :)
