I, once again, very much had fun with this, but as I said the whole way through, it was just too damn short. I wanted more time to get to know Galen and Piper and to enjoy their dynamic together. The bits and pieces I got were great, Galens confident swagger and violent streak with Pipers nervous coldness and caring was very good. But it just wasn't enough. That and I wasn't a huge fan of the B plot. Loved the ending

Consequences of your goddamn actions, Galen. You don't get to be pissed at the guy you dumped because he's pissed at you for dumping him. C'mon man, don't kiss him again. Mixed goddamn signals there

I'm enjoying the characters and their dynamic with one another. Piper is very fun and Galen had a suave nature that contrasts well with Pipers awkwardness. Also love Earstripe the gnole.
The only thing is that the plot is going far quicker than previous books, which is both fun and also mildly disappointing. I wanted to spend as much time with these characters as previous ones
