I hate Liam’s “you’re not allowed to give me orders” attitude too. Buddy, you’re new to this world. There are going to be times (theoretically) where you need to listen to Dianna and trust her experience. I say theoretically because so far she’s been a dumbass walking blindly into traps

Something about the dialogue in this book feels stilted. Liam is supposed to sound a bit weird and outdated but it doesn’t work because everyone sounds like that. I think the problem is that the author doesn’t use enough contractions

I think Dianna might be the most obnoxious romantasy FMC I’ve ever seen. Every conversation she has with Liam makes me hate her more

Wait so convoys are some sort of sci-fi train thing? Why is everything like the real world except this? And if these have been around since “celestial magic and technology became one” does that mean they’ve been around for centuries? None of this makes sense

How dare Liam accuse Dianna of doing the exact things he witnessed her do in person! What a jerk! /s

It’s a bad sign when even the characters can see the terrible writing.

Why did she randomly call Liam Charlie when she’s negotiating her surrender??

I feel like I’m too asexual for this book. Does it actually read as sexy to have Dianna constantly spouting sex jokes and innuendo and purring all her dialogue?
