Technically, I knew this was going to be a slower read for me but the fact that I’m only on page 50 in two days says a lot.
In full transparency, I think since Jim Crow is so strongly represented in the book, I’ve been taking nibbles of it instead of bites.
But I’m pushing through. The writing and the story is keeping me locked in and I just fell in love with one of the early characters.
