After having read a few just okay recently published thrillers, this one is a breath of fresh air. I already love this novel. Refreshing when you read a gritty drama that doesn't feel like it was written to land the movie deal and is written by an author with real writing skill who takes their time developing characters, their lives, and their conflicts. I'll need to read more 60s/70s thrillers. They just hit harder!
