this book is very bad and it’s not just the writing. the emotions are rationalized/therapized so she never sits in anger even though she’s learning some shitty things. let the girlie stay mad, she’s 25. also some things are under explained and some things are over explained, which is frustrating. also the stakes make no sense to me. how does joining the company save her mothers rep? sigh

this book is very poorly written but in a way that makes it easy to read. think middle school creative writing project you know. also the plot is dumb and it’s annoyingly racist. i think this is based on the author’s background but parts are just so ignorant. currently a 3
