'Debris scraped against the stone walls below, as if the swamp were clawing at the chapel. Then a big oak that had once shaded the churchyard snapped & fell. In the deafening wind I did not even hear the tree fall, but watched it slowly sink to earth & lie across the church steps.'

The cat's howl & the horse's whinnies mingled with my own screams, & I felt the phaeton jerk forward as I tumbled off the seat.' ....Bwahaha!
