Ok, genuine question, do you mind when the author doesn't care about inconsistency with personality? Yeah, characters can have personal growth, but... Hazel is timid, scaredy-cat and meek, then sassy, confident, snarky, bossy, it feels like she adapts her personality to fit the narrative or dialogues... That's lazy writing, right?
