I've been reading this book with my nine year old son at bedtime and we're both loving it! It takes a lot of self control not to keep reading after my son falls asleep...

I haven't read such a wonderfully magical, whimsical, adventurous, thrilling, tale in a long time. This reminds me of some of the classics I read as a kid by authors like Philipp Pullman, Susan Cooper, Brian Jacques, and Robyn McKinley! Love it.
