It'd be nice if something happened in the book.

"Its not his fault, he beats men she interacts with nearly to death and cheats on her because he just loves her SO MUCH" is real abuser apologia.

Jondalar has to be the stupidest, most oblivious man alive.

I wish the resolution wasn't "Bad guys force Ayla and Jondalar's hand so there's no ethical/moral dilemma or character growth"

The reason I didn't remember this book nearly as much as the others is because there is nothing to remember.

How is this one even slower than the previous one?
