Re-reading this because I have both Vengeance and now Deliverance in my possession.

Okay, this pretty much IS The Godfather, Pakistani-style.
We've got all the parallels there: a mafia family, the wedding of the leader's daughter, a favour being asked, the importance of family, and also, of course, the unwilling child who seems to have a bright future ahead of them, only to be dragged into family business.
Add to this the racism against the Khan family, and you've got something epic.
I'm impressed.

#674 on my to-read list, and not easy to find since I'm outside of the UK.
Still though, I managed to find an ebook copy, so I'll be reading that.
So far though, great beginning, raw description, and of course an attractive cover.
Middle Eastern mafia, I'm guessing?
