Walking in Sarajevo last month and seeing the impressive state of repair, between reminders of war, made me wonder as I often wonder how I would respond to war, in my country, my city, my street. What if soldiers would pass and shoot holes in our facades? What would I do? Run? Stay and see it through? Would I repair the holes or leave them to be visible scars years later?
I do not know.
