Rereading. I appreciate the way Zwicker moves in the first chapter from the tensions between a number of coeval dyads (e.g. book history and literary history, or different types of printing) to eventually arrive at a question concerning what mediates two related but ostensibly distinct lineages (or histories), thus allowing for the writing of another possible history.
The punctuation for me here is Luhmann's theory.
