Their lives so much simpler now that Conor has confessed his love for Maya, despite all of his fears. The growth that’s had to happen for him to start off as this guy who on paper, doesn’t seem to like Maya in that way, to now a man who loves her and worships the ground she walks on. He’s open and free about his love and I like that.

Conor seems like he loves to torture himself because it’s definitely clear he wants Maya but he’s all like “Oh it’s the age thing, it’s a power imbalance” but after the amazing O he gave her?? Stop pulling an Edward and let yourself be happy 🙄

So much yearning from Maya, but not enough from Conor or maybe his is internal. The flashbacks lowkey make me love him, then we get to present day and I’m like wow what a self centered jerk who will only show Maya he likes her in secret and subtle gestures. Which subtle gestures are cute to be honest.

This book reminds me of Promise Me by Sara Cate. The week before the wedding, two characters who were once in love or have some sort of past, forced proximity, shared inside moments between the two love interests. Maya and Conor better end up together though like Colin and Declan did.

Maya yearns a little bit too much for my liking. I want to see Conor yearn, but then again he’s a man so what more could I expect?
