I'm struggling with this in a way I didn't with IICHY. The psychological masterminding in this is so subpar as compared to IICHY. Grace's logic doesn't at all fit with her character backstory and overall profile, Father's psychological methods and gaslighting are all mixed up from how it would work in real life and that messes with me, especially since 700 pages of the book was spent trying to set it up!

I've finished it, but I have so much I want to say that I haven't gotten around to the review. Hopefully I don't over-process it in my mind to the point I lose interest in writing a review, we'll see! Lol! I was unfortunately disappointed.

I feel like part of it is DD’s characterization of Grace as an unreliable narrator.

And same thing with other characters like Faith. Like all of them went through so much trauma, that non of them think in a typical or normal way.
Definitely a read that is making me think.
