Congrats? Ugh

DELULU Land!

This chapter was definitely a roller coaster ride. Another member of my book club said there’s no development in the plot because it’s the same thing over and over again and now I can’t see it. I still don’t like the relationship though so whatever.

The more the story goes on the more I’m not liking any of the relationships. I agree that everything feels so rushed and delusional at the same time. There’s still a baby coming and I wonder if she will be strong enough to deal with it like she’s been in this whole time. Or not.

I don’t know how I feel about this guys. Well, I do believe they love each other. I feel like if it was true life-changing events wouldn’t have made them want to make the decision decisions that they’re making. It’s just all a little emotional irrational to me.

I mean… In the words of Layla “well shit”

Oh. Somebody pay for the snacks and I’ll pay for the popcorn because I knew this conversation was going to blow up like this. I wish I were her friend because I wouldn’t have encouraged them to have a conversation so soon. So here we are again having a conversation that we’re not ready for

Oh shit. I figured this was a possibility the closer that we got to this chapter. And I hate that I feel like she can’t even be mad at how things are playing out because this is exactly what was said was gonna happen. But she still trying, and I don’t really admire her for it.

All these emotions she’s having at one time. It’s exactly why I said she wasn’t ready for what she felt. She was ready for in my opinion. Here she is freaking out, but this is exactly what he said was going to happen.

I’m conflicted because I want Layla to have what she wants but I feel like at this time. Layla doesn’t know what she wants because the person that she wants has completely changed and is expecting to change yet again. She also let him lead the whole conversation which was stupid in my opinion.
