I should have guessed that the Talker was Minnette’s father. Simone’s recital sounds like it was really something.

Theo sometimes goes to walk on the riverbed when he can’t sleep. I like to read when I can’t sleep. It’s not traveling physically, but it’s traveling in my mind. The bestowals are on hiatus. Theo and Ellen’s bike ride and Ellen’s feather display sounded lovely. It reminded me of the times I used to pick up feathers off the ground as a kid and made me want to see if I could spot more of them now.

Cleave Torbsr seems like an a**hole and very controlling. “…move forward he would”. That’s what Theo determined about his bestowals after the unfortunate encounter. I don’t think the phone talker guy did a terrible thing by sitting down on the bench that Theo was using for his bestowals, but to be carrying on a heated phone conversation so close to a stranger is just rude.

Theo has become a regular guest in Lamisha’s
home. I’ve gathered that Theo doesn’t drive. He’s always walking or taking the bus. I don’t know if that is the result of age, or what happened to his daughter. I find it odd that Theo had apparently lived in the US for decades, spoke English fluently, and had somehow never learned the phrases “bump into” or “run into” until he moved to Golden.

Ellen seems like a bit of a stalker. I hope she gets to meet her son, though.
