Oh no, oh no, oh no! I just realized that this story is a "white Savior" throat. I didn't see it until now!
That says long than one of my favorite books of all time. Maybe, you could say that it the blood she shares with them that allows her to step in for them. Not the fact that she is a foreigner!?
