Y’know when we wrote letters to ourselves in 8th grade? Well, in mine I had told myself:
“You better have read The Hobbit and The Lord of The Rings.”

I think 8th grade Audrey is feeling pretty happy right about now.

And college Audrey is feeling incredibly accomplished seeing as she managed to finish LOTR before her first day (August 19th)!

(I’m flying by the seat of my pants, help.)

My poor Hobbits. They traveled so far, endured so much, only to return home and be faced with another trial.

“The Eagles are coming! The Eagles are coming!'
For one moment more Pippin's thought hovered. 'Bilbo!' it said. 'But no! That came in his tale, long long ago. This is my tale, and it is ended now. Good-bye!' And his thought fled far away and his eyes saw no more.”

Oh Pippin.

“And as if in answer there came from far away another note. Horns, horns, horns. In dark Mindolluin's sides they dimly echoed. Great horns of the North wildly blowing. Rohan had come at last.”

Rohan is so tuff omg. Also, Faramir has my heart in both book and movie. He has such an amazing character, I love him to death. Additionally, Beregond hypes the absolute heck out of him and I’m so here for it.
