This book has a great tone and feels sharply written. Perfect for new-adult romantic fantasy readers with a liking for angel vs. demon, but the FMC reads much younger than I was expecting.

"The royal archives were the crown jewel of the palace... Stained glass windows filtered soft moonlight across a tiled floor she and Orion had lain upon dozens of times, making stories out of the angels and demons that waged war in the panes above. Orion had given names to the figures etched in vivid hues— angelic warriors who wielded blades of light that struck black-winged demons from the sky."
