I’m enjoying how casually the book uses a terms like ace-spec, allo, comp-het, etc without over-explaining them. It’s cool to hear familiar terms without feeling like it needs to come with a tagline for the majority. It fits with Angela’s experience. I relate to not wanting to explain and simultaneously worrying people won’t understand. I love how Krystal does her own research to understand Angela better.

The ace representation in this book is so good. Idk if I have ever read a book with a self-identified asexual character before and it feels so important. I want all of my partners to read Chapter 11. If you’ve ever wondered how ace people have sex (and haven’t watched Ash Hardell’s very comprehensive YouTube video) this has been a great resource so far.

Ran out of characters… but just to clarify - not wanting to explain to people who I know won’t get it. Within certain communities and my own relationships I’m an open book. ;P
