Helpful, convicting, Biblical. Brauns is doing a great job so far, and I think it's amazingly applicable and approachable, rather than technical. I was hoping it would sort of help with the "consequences" a little more, but who knows. I've still got a little way to go. I think it might help that the author is somewhat local to me. I assume there might be something "midwestern" about his language that I appreciate.

This book is really good so far. It hammers home the really vital ideas, repeating definitions and theological necessities, challenging but reassuring readers, and accounting for the nuances in the many messy and unique situations of offense. Forgiveness is at the core of Christianity. It's so desperately needed, but it can be done poorly or falsely. The applications of this book are extremely broad and just as deep.
