there is too much pointless description of the stuff. is it plot necessary? only vaguely. it’s not like fully understanding every aspect of every dungeon machine or thing is going to give me a richer reading experience. and the description itself is not very engaging or evocative anyways.

i am certainly not expecting high literature or even a very well written book. but with some improvements these books could be great reads instead of “ehhh it’s easy to read and it’s kind of entertaining…”

anyways yesterday i “finished” the book but with a ton of skimming because every time i come across another loooooooong passage of description my eyes glaze over and i move on. god. and i still understood how it ended so no important detail or nuance was really lost.
