It was also very nice to see that Rowen went to sleep having faith that Clarion would prevail. Clarion promoting Milori to Lord of Winter was bittersweet due to the heartbreaking revelation that they will have to separate as Clarion knows that she can’t put him above her subjects. Moreover, if they stayed together she would always sacrifice everything to keep him safe.

It was incredible to see Clarion draw power from Milori’s support and finally believe herself to be worthy of being Queen, which let her defeat both the nightmares darkness as well as the darken feelings of inadequacy within herself. It’s great to see all the fairies awaken, especially Petra and Artemis whose reunion between themselves and clarion was incredible sweet.

Clarion imagining Pixie Hallows destruction while being manipulated into believing it to her fault was traumatic, but I adore the fact that Milori’s voice was able to snap her out of her depressive spiral. I wish we got more of a description of the Queen nightmare as the idea of it being a dragon sounds awesome.

Ultimately, she was just trying to keep Clarion apart to protect her from the consequences of their long life and the feelings that come from losing those you care for. Clarion jumping into the nightmare realm has me in the edge of my seat from anxiety.

It was so cathartic to have Elvina admit that clarion was right about both the winter woods and fairies, and Elvina’s apology being centered around the idea that she sees clarion as a daughter was a nice sentiment.

It’s heartbreaking to see Milori have to wrestle with the fact that saving Clarion by escorting her to the warm seasons will mean the loss of his wings. Proving just how much Milori loves Clarion as he doesn’t even hesitate.

It was incredible to see Clarion release her full power after Artemis got injured and Petra fell into the nightmare induced sleep. She completely obliterated the surrounding nightmares but then collapsed of exhaustion. Artemis is injured, Petra is asleep, and Clarion is knocked out. It looks like it’s up to Milori to get them safety out of winter before their wings freeze.

Oh god, the nightmares have broken free and are attacking winter. It’s sweet to see Clarion and Petra having a quick reconciliation due to the fact that Petra made the sword that destroys the border to winter to be fake. She knew Clarion didn’t want to follow the plan so she made sure her friend wouldn’t have to go against her own beliefs. Also the crossbow that Petra made to fight against nightmares is badass.

It’s so cute getting to see Clarion enjoying winter’s celebration as well as getting to experience the beauty of the ice and snow. I adored Clarion and Milori dancing together and was extremely disappointed that Elvina interrupted. Oh, Petra why did you have to snitch. Poor Milori trying to take the blame to spare Clarion from Elvina’s anger, what a hero.
