Omg honestly so tired of hearing how evil and terrible the royal family’s previous sex slave was. Maybe I’m not getting the point or something but it seems to go against everything else the story is doing. I wish he’d been a bad husband more in that he didn’t meet the standards put onto men or he was resistant or bitchy or something. He feels outta place here, like a man from our world dropped into theirs

Honestly pretty laughable to give this princess a traumatic ‘I was abused by my last partner’ backstory. Like with the amount of power she has over this man am I actually supposed to take it seriously? I’m not usually one to gatekeep trauma but I feel like if your abuser is your owned sex slave and legal property you lose the right to complain about how he treats you.

I wish we’d followed a dude like Kiefer instead he seems like so much more fun. Lemme see what a spoiled little brat is like in this world. I wanna see a prince consort throwing tantrums and manipulating his wives to get what he wants.

Man it’s rare for a book to keep my attention based on worldbuilding alone. Honestly I’m really not that invested in the characters or their relationships but I’m so desperate to learn more about this world I don’t even care. This author really thought through this world in so much detail. I would love to see this world through the eyes of someone whose not a boring chaste good boy like Jerin tho

I honestly didn’t expect this book to commit this hard to the concept… it’s genuinely really shocking the way men are talked about and treated in this book, the objectification and sexual violence against them is actually pretty disturbing to read sometimes…

God who tf let Travis Baldtree narrate erotic scenes, how am I supposed to even tell if it’s sexy or not with this wet blanket narrating
