Gladstone morpugo and force successfully destroyed all farcaster singularities and terminals leaving the core isolated from humanity. The description of the riots, celebrations, and reaction to light years of isolation and the destruction caused by cutting the farcaster system is awesome

Gladstone now conspires with general morpugo to destroy the farcaster web and be the largest mass murderer in human history to free humanity from the web while the consul is sentenced by the ousters to live out his life trying to repair what he tried to break and serve as a diplomat between the ousters and the remaining hegemony.

It is now beyond clear how the techno core has played the puppet master and how they are the true enemy and parasite on humankind as they have made slaves of the web and manipulate them and use the threat of the ousters for their purposes. Also old earth is the real earth that was farcastered in the Kiev incident

The ousters say they are willing to join the web in fighting the core and now the consul awaits the sentence of the ousters while the deathwand bomb is armed and sent to the Hyperion system as it is the only suitable place to use it according to the AI advisor as it destroys all humans within a 3 light year radius and other planets are packed to close together without a labyrinth.

The ouster swarm reveals that it is not the them who attack the web but the AIs controlling their ships, arundez and Theo fatline Gladstone about this. Sol still laments losing Rachel. Gladstone sits in the war room which debates the webs situation while a new AI ambassador convinces the council to authorize the use of the deathwand bomb against the ouster swarm near Hyperion playing into the hands of the AIs
