Oh my god what a delightful read. One of my favorite favorite read of the year!!! Currently bedbound with covid and so glad to have this as my companion. I thinking reading udolpho first is key. I loved the contrast and tongue in cheek witticisms so so much. Ah I enjoyed this so so much. Love how Emily is the flattest character to ever exist lol. What a funny book.

I’m enjoying this so much. It occurred to me that all the Austen villains are just autistic. Mr. Thorn is horse autistic. Mr. Collins is potato autistic lol. Even Mr. Darcy is arguably autistic! But of course being hot and rich cured him of that defect.
