this book is being the fucking bane of my existence its been a week since i started and i cant finish it. its not horrible but halfway it just becomes romance from the 1890, and god they were shit at it, i didn't know how well i ate at the beginning compared to this....
i shall finish it today even if it's the last thing i do, just so i can go to something better

I personally lack the intelligence to decipher the different metaphors in this book, so I'm not fully enjoying the book. However, the more I read, the more I'm comprehensing Chambers motifs, and it's become more enjoyable. Especially The Yellow Sign, which is an excellent retelling of Adam and Eve. Perhaps after I finish it I will re-read it to see the details, since the first story is really a ruse.
