Again - using fire feels like bad world building. They could just have a solvent for mending metal. It’s not heard to fix these logic issues.

Using fire for prayers feels unimaginative and dumb. A fire in Atlantia would be catastrophic. They could’ve poured water on statues for prayers - would’ve been more thematic.
