Tinkerbell is a diva and I love her. Do not get on her bad side.

I’m killing Grace’s husband.

I am going to murder all of these husbands. I am livid. They are treating their wives like children. Like property. How dare you tell Patty to calm down. This is the real horror.

That only worked cause he is a vampire.

PATRICA!!!! You better not be giving a dead man cpr!! Babe, you’re a nurse - you know better than that!! Sounds like rigor mortis has already set in. I’m imagining a shriveled mummy on the bed.

Divorce your husband Patrica. I hate him. Free costume jewelry as an anniversary present?? Absolutely not.

I love wack shit 1800s science. It might as well be magic for these people

Love that the carriage spill happened right before the cross - like Carmilla couldn’t travel past it

I love that everybody and their mom heard Rio speak that day in the temple. Girl, really thought she got away with it

Girl, why can’t we just wear a replica insignia? No one will notice or care. No one expects you to wear the real one. This is stupid.

Male contraceptives?? This really is a fantasy book!!!

I do like that Below has gods based off of land creatures and Above has gods based of sea creatures that is so cool

Again - using fire feels like bad world building. They could just have a solvent for mending metal. It’s not heard to fix these logic issues.

Using fire for prayers feels unimaginative and dumb. A fire in Atlantia would be catastrophic. They could’ve poured water on statues for prayers - would’ve been more thematic.

Bitch, you don’t know what a tan is - let alone what someone looks like with a tan. Unless Atlantia has tanning beds - shut up

Ally Condie’s brand of foreshadowing is like a sledgehammer to the face. It’s painful to read - especially after reading Tamsyn Muir’s expert level of plot twists and story weaving.

This is my monthly quote

Just Gideon’s call sign point blank on the page. Muir is a genius

My gasts are all the way flabbered. How the hell did I miss the last sentence of this chapter. Did I even really read the book the first time??? This book is pure genius.

I can hear Gideon’s narration so much clearer now that I know what to look for. She is so very funny. Saying holy shit right before Harrow kisses Ianthe is hilarious and so Gideon. But somehow also subtle during the first read but also so obvious now. This book is a masterpiece.

I’m crying. Everything makes so much more sense the second time around. Harrow saying her first ever act of free will was to save Gideon makes me cry. That’s so sweet and breaks my heart. They are so gay.

I am team Kailani. I would’ve been so pissed if Piper died right then and there.

Stockholm Syndrome is setting in. I’m starting to unironically like this book. The ADHD line made me laugh.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if Xavier and the Guardian switched blood. Or if they reveal that they switched their identities on the ship. The Guardian is being way too flirty with his best friend’s new wife. Something is up.

I’m calling it now- the blood in the vial is not hers - I’m betting it’s May’s. Maybe even the stepmother’s or the king’s. If I were to look for a loophole in a contract signed in blood - this is how I would start.

I’m sick and disgusted. Ya, Colton definitely needs to go down. I didn’t like him before- I hate him now.

Omg Kai’s such a simp. Dude grow a spine. I do love he’s a soft boy though. But he also annoys me.

The camera being disabled is the biggest red flag ever
