Actually, scratch that. They ALL are bitter backward bitches believing they know better. Yeah yeah yeah, circumstances, men, racism. I expected this to be an uplifting story of womanhood through the centuries with some magical realism strewn in here and there. Instead, I kept reading dull dialogues and lengthy descriptions of teenage flirtation.

Part IV delivers scenes from a horror movie completely out of place with the entire rest of the dialogue and plot. Yes, alright, evil lives on, what comes from evil spawns evil, one way or another, or what is the moral here? The curse was on the men or the women now? And why are we reading about teenage girls kissing boys and wearing their jackets pages away from a horrific and unnecessarily graphic torturing of a pregnant woman???!!!!
